Imbio is a Minneapolis-based medical imaging software company that applies artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, and automated workflows to chest CT and other medical images. Its products generate 3D visualizations, quantitative reports, and imaging biomarkers primarily for pulmonary and cardiothoracic conditions, including COPD, emphysema, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary embolism, and coronary artery calcification. Imbio’s regulatory-cleared solutions have supported screening, diagnosis, treatment planning, and therapy monitoring, while the company also developed imaging tools and companion-diagnostic programs with pharmaceutical and medical-device partners. Imbio entered a binding agreement to be acquired by 4DMedical in December 2023, and the acquisition was subsequently completed, making Imbio part of 4DMedical’s broader respiratory-imaging portfolio.
