Key Requirements

Licensed professionals may use AI only for administrative or supplementary support; they remain responsible for all AI-assisted interactions and outputs and may not let AI make independent therapeutic decisions, engage in direct therapeutic communication, or generate treatment plans without professional review. Providers must inform clients (or their legal representatives) in writing of the AI tool and its specific purpose and obtain written informed consent before using AI to record or transcribe a session.
