Key Requirements

Licensees may use AI only for administrative or supplementary support in therapy/psychotherapy, must retain responsibility for all AI-assisted interactions and outputs, and may not allow AI to make independent therapeutic decisions, directly engage in therapeutic communication, or generate recommendations or treatment plans without licensee review. Licensees must inform clients or their legal representatives in writing of the AI use, its specific purpose, and how session data will be stored, retained, used for training and deleted, and must obtain client consent.
